Circuit Events

May 31st  sees a new venture for the Circuit as we hold our first Circuit Assembly.  It should be a good day - we do need to sign up here: Circuit Assembly Sign Up

Local Arrangements Questionnaire

Local Arrangement Questionnaire for Yate Fill in form

 At Circuit Meeting in March a report was shared highlighting that we expect to have more local arrangement (LA) services across the Circuit from September.  This is due to having fewer ministers and local preachers but the same number of preaching appointments.  And almost all services are at the same time on Sunday mornings.  At the June Circuit meeting the plan is to decide how to manage this issue so that preaching resources reach as many as possible across the Circuit.  Each church has been asked to think how more local arrangement services would impact them and respond by the end of April with suggestions for their local situation.

Plan Contact - still urgent...!

With Jane and John preparing to leave the area we need a new contact person to liaise with preachers coming to lead worship at Yate.  It probably isn't as big a job as you might think - please speak to Jane or Naomi to find out more.

God gave humans free will, and yet nothing can happen unless God allows it.  With the Psalmist we ask – “Why, Lord?” as we see strife in the world and personal problems.  Teach us to pray, to know you better, and to trust in you.

When the future feels uncertain, Lord, show us the way.  When we don’t have the words, Lord, show us the way.  When we feel weak and weary, Lord, help us to trust there will be a way, and help us to pray. Amen.
