Funeral of Andy Worrall

Carol has let us know that this will be held on Friday 22nd May at Westerleigh (Waterside Chapel) and will be followed by refreshments at the Players Golf Club, Codrington.

Praise in the Park 28th June, 10.30am.

Please save the date for the annual ecumenical service in Kingsgate Park.

Yate Rocks organisers let the churches use the facilities for the service on the basis that the churches serve tea and coffee through the afternoon to the choirs/audiences.  Could you volunteer to help sometime between 12.00 and 3.00pm?  To find out more, please speak to Naomi by May 10th. 

There will be a service at church on that Sunday, but as agreed at Church Council, we will not require people to fill places on the rota for that service if they wish to to go the park.

We thank you for the freedom we have, and pray for those who don’t enjoy the same.  We ask you to use your influence over power-crazy leaders, for the sake of the disempowered and disadvantaged.

Dear God, we ask that you will show us your will for the future of the Church.  Thanks for the support we can give to those who come to Wednesday Café and Messy Space – people who are at very different stages in their journey through life. Amen.

This coming Sunday (3rd May) the Alpha Course will invite participants to consider How can I have faith?  We pray that everyone involved with Alpha will grow in faith through these weeks, and that some may come to faith for the first time.
